So hands up if you’re guilty of depriving your body of water 🙋🏻♀️
We all do it, and I’m one of the worst, especially since I know the benefits of drinking water can have on your skin.
So as a little reminder from your GCSE biology - your body is made up of 80% water!! How we’re not just a huge puddle with eyes amazes me. Our body needs water to generate new cells, which if you didn’t know, is a pretty big deal when it comes to looking younger for longer!
As we age, our cell turnover slows down, leaving us with that dull, lacklustre skin on the outside. Treatments such as Microneedling and chemical peels help to speed up cell turnover, but imagine if you could do that from the comfort of your own home, just by drinking more water!

So how much water is “enough”?
Well everyone will be different depending on physical factors such as height and weight but a general guideline is 8 glasses a day.
A tip that can help is to keep a water bottle handy where you know the amount it holds and keep track of how many you’ve had per day. Or if you’re finding that too hard, make simple switches such as a green teas instead of your 5 cups of coffee per day, or using a small amount of sugar free squash to take the plainness of the water if you don’t like it!
