Milia Removal

What are Milia?

Milia can sometimes known as ‘milk spots’ - it's a common skin condition where keratin becomes trapped under the skin and causes a little hard white ball (like a spot) on the surface of the skin. Although not dangerous or painful, these can be unsightly and can be easily removed by a professional with little to no discomfort to the client.

How are they removed and is it painful?

The treatment starts with a steam of the skin to soften the milia. Treatment requires a micro lancet to gently break the top of the skin to free the little hard white lump. The skin will then heal itself in a similar way to a spot that has been popped. Removal can be likened to that of popping a spot, it's not painful but pressure is applied to the area using the micro lancet to help free the keratin from the skin.

How many can be removed at one session?

Treatment sessions come in 30 minute slots where as many milia will be removed as possible. If you find you have a lot of milia, this may require more than one session. I can't give a number of how many can be done in a session as all clients will be different depending on how easily the milia is to extract, some pop right out, some take a little longer to coax out.

How much does it cost?

A single session is £50
